1. Back-End Cleanup

First things first! Make sure to do a diagnosis of your site. Repair all website errors. Check your titles, keywords, meta tag, meta descriptions, images, etc.

2. Citations & Listings

A citation is a place online where someone can find a business’s info. These include sites like Yelp, Houzz, Facebook, Foursquare, Waze, Trip Advisor, etc. If you have a business with a physical location, you must also have a Google, Bing, and Yahoo listing as being on the map is crucial.

3. Reputation
Make sure you’re getting reviews… and a lot of them! Use an auto-generated review solicitation software or e-mail platform to keep a constant drip program going.

4. Mobile & Security

Mobile responsive is an absolute must in 2019. And for security (HTTPS vs. HTTP) use an SSL certificate and invest in premium web hosting.

5. Content is King

Make sure Google can clearly identify what your site is about. You MUST have keyword-rich, authoritative content on all of your pages. Most importantly, several new blog articles need to post each month that match the content your customers are searching for.

6. Link Building

Getting reputable, relevant, and well-respected websites (by Google’s standards) to link back to your site will dramatically improve your Google ranking.

7. Social Media

Having a social footprint in 2019 is extremely important. Always include multimedia graphics such as video and custom photography. Facebook and Instagram are currently the top two apps. Ensure they are connected to your site.

8. Maintenance

Understand that results won’t come overnight and the Google Algorithm is ever-changing. Your site will need TLC on a regular basis. Also, connecting Analytics will allow you to track your site visitors and their habits.
